This Privacy Policy explains how Reecenben, Inc., a Delaware corporation doing business as In Benjamin We Trust (“we,” “us” or “our”), collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit inbenjaminwetrust.com (the “Site”) or buy from us.
1. Information We Collect
Information you give us
- At checkout: your name, email address, phone number, billing address and, for merchandise, your shipping address, plus any order notes you add.
- When you create an account: your username, email address and password. Passwords are stored in encrypted (hashed) form.
- When you contact us: your name, email address and the content of your message.
- When you leave a review: your name, email address, rating and review text. Your name and review are shown publicly; your email address is not.
Payment information
Card and PayPal payments are processed by Stripe and PayPal. You enter your payment details directly with them, and we never receive or store your full card number or security code. We receive limited payment information from them, such as the card brand, the last four digits, the expiration date, the billing postal code, the transaction ID and, for PayPal, your PayPal email address. Stripe and PayPal may collect device and usage information to prevent fraud, as described in their own privacy policies (https://stripe.com/privacy and https://www.paypal.com/us/legalhub/privacy-full).
Information collected automatically
- Device and log information: your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and the date and time of each visit, recorded in our server logs.
- Download records: when you download a purchased file, we record the time and IP address of the download to support delivery, prevent abuse and resolve payment disputes.
- Order source: our store software records how you arrived at the Site (for example, the referring website or campaign link) and attaches it to your order so we can understand which channels bring customers.
- Analytics: we use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool that we host ourselves. Umami does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites, and gives us only aggregated statistics such as page views, referrers, device types and countries.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information to:
- process your orders, deliver download links and ship merchandise;
- issue and keep records of beat licenses, verify licenses and resolve content claims;
- create and manage your account;
- respond to your questions and requests;
- send order confirmations, receipts, download links and service notices;
- send marketing emails, but only if you have opted in;
- detect and prevent fraud, chargeback abuse and security incidents;
- understand how the Site is used so we can improve it; and
- comply with tax, accounting and other legal obligations, and enforce our Terms and licenses.
3. How We Share Your Information
We share personal information only as described here:
- Payment processors: Stripe and PayPal, to process payments, refunds and disputes and to prevent fraud.
- Fulfillment partners and carriers: for merchandise orders, your name, shipping address, phone number and order details go to our print and fulfillment partners and shipping carriers.
- Service providers: our website hosting provider and our email delivery provider, which process data on our behalf to run the Site and send emails.
- Font provider: the Site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser sends your IP address to Google when it loads those fonts.
- Legal and safety: when required by law, subpoena or court order, or when needed to protect our rights, our customers or others, including to enforce a beat license or respond to a copyright claim.
- Business transfers: to a buyer or successor if our business or catalog is sold, merged or transferred, subject to this Privacy Policy.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use targeted advertising.
4. Emails
We send transactional emails (order confirmations, receipts, download links and account notices) as part of providing our service. We send marketing emails only if you have opted in, and every marketing email includes a link to unsubscribe. You can also unsubscribe by emailing info@reecenben.com.
5. Cookies
We use only cookies that are needed to run the store, along with a small number of functional cookies. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and our analytics do not use cookies.
- Cart and session cookies (for example `woocommerce_cart_hash`, `woocommerce_items_in_cart` and `wp_woocommerce_session`): keep track of your cart and checkout. Essential.
- Login cookies (for example `wordpress_logged_in` and `wordpress_sec`): keep you signed in to your account. Essential when you use an account.
- Payment cookies set by Stripe or PayPal during checkout (for example `__stripe_mid` and `__stripe_sid`): used for fraud prevention and secure payment. Essential.
- Order source cookies (`sbjs` cookies): first-party cookies that record the referring site or campaign link for your visit so it can be attached to your order. They are not shared with advertisers.
- Review cookies (`comment_author` cookies): set only if you choose to have your name and email remembered when leaving a review.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies, the cart and checkout will not work.
6. How Long We Keep Information
- Orders, invoices and payment records: 7 years after the order, for tax and accounting purposes.
- Beat license records (licensee name, email, beat, tier and order details): for as long as the license is in effect and 7 years after it ends, so we can verify licenses and resolve claims.
- Accounts: until you ask us to delete your account. Order and license records are kept as described above even after an account is deleted.
- Customer support emails: 3 years after the last message.
- Server logs and download records: up to 12 months, unless needed longer for a dispute or security investigation.
- Reviews: until you ask us to remove them or we remove them.
- Analytics: aggregated statistics that do not identify you, kept indefinitely.
7. Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, hashed passwords and restricted access to order data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Privacy Rights
Wherever you live in the United States, you may ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we have about you and give you a copy;
- correct inaccurate personal information; and
- delete your personal information, subject to the records we must keep by law or to enforce licenses.
California residents
The California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, gives California residents the rights listed above, plus the right to know the categories of personal information we collect, use and disclose, and the right not to be discriminated against for using these rights.
In the past 12 months we have collected these categories of personal information: identifiers (name, email address, postal address, phone number, IP address, account username); commercial information (orders and licenses purchased); limited financial information (payment details received from our processors as described above); internet or network activity (pages visited, download records and order source); approximate location derived from IP address; and account login credentials. We collect this information from you, from your device, and from our payment processors, for the purposes described in Section 2, and disclose it only to the categories of recipients described in Section 3.
We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in California law, and we have no actual knowledge of selling or sharing personal information of consumers under 16. We use account login credentials only to let you sign in, so the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information does not apply. California residents may also ask, once a year, about any disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We make no such disclosures.
Residents of other states
Residents of states with consumer privacy laws, including Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Virginia, may have rights to access, correct, delete and receive a portable copy of their personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising, sale of personal information and certain profiling. We do not sell personal information, use targeted advertising or engage in profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. We honor Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out request.

To protect your information, we will verify your request by matching the email address and order details we have on file. You may use an authorized agent; we will ask for proof of the agent’s authority and may ask you to confirm your identity directly. We respond within 45 days, and if we need more time we will tell you why.

9. Children’s Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, email info@reecenben.com and we will delete it. Purchases require the buyer to be at least 18 years old or to have a parent’s or guardian’s permission.
10. Users in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom
Our website is meant for people in the United States, but if you are in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, Reecenben, Inc. is the controller of your personal information. We use it on these legal bases: to take steps you ask for before a contract or to perform a contract with you; our legitimate interests in running, securing and improving our business and website, which we balance against your rights; compliance with legal obligations; and your consent, where we ask for it, which you may withdraw at any time. We are based in the United States, and your information is processed and stored there. When we transfer personal information from the EEA or UK to the United States, we use appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and the UK addendum to them, or another lawful transfer method. You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of your personal information, and to receive it in a portable format. To use these rights, email info@reecenben.com. You also have the right to complain to the data protection supervisory authority where you live or work, or where you believe a problem happened. In the UK, that is the Information Commissioner's Office.
